My mate and I watched this randy Peacock dance for the Peahen he was looking at. This beats the discovery channel hands down.

Foxton is a small town that is north west of Palmerston North. It is a sea side settlement that comes alive during the summer months with holiday makers from all round New Zealand.

Foxton Beach, 2009: I just wanted to tell him to harden up but he is bigger than me. I watched all morning as he managed to tame the waves and ride them. He says riding a wive is just like riding a woman, but I really have my doughts about that.

I never liked Speights but this board just seemed to manly for me not to get a photo taken next to it. This board was in Mataura south of Gore.

I am a city boy at heart so I feel really out of place when it comes to doing farm things … whats with all the animals. Ahhh someone save me!

Now before you all think I have been getting some ideas, Rambo and I were getting along quite well.

Working from a remote place is not a problem at all. I am here in Mataura of all places right across the road from the meat works. What a stinker!

In the remotest of remote places in New Zealand you find out the most interesting information like this. On the 9th of August 1998 an aircraft from the Southern Air fleet had to ditch 1.75kms from the coast. Some of the passengers never made it.

So I made it to the southern most point of New Zealands South Island. It is cold, wet and very windy but none of that stopped my mate and I from talking the long walk down the hill. Hopefully you will see this video blog sometime soon.

If you think you know a place you should wait and see what happens after dark. I\’ve just been to a bar with some American tourists. Wasn\’t too bad but I didn\’t know what to expect at this time of night when standing next to a giant fish.
