Today is finally the day! After a week of planning I’m hitting the road at about 0530, following state highway one all the way down to Palmerston North.

While at Vodafone HQ in Auckland city I created some quick capture uploads directly from the YouTube website.

The falls are located close to the small township of Hunua. If you’re travelling by car from Papakura you can turn left into White Road and then hang a right into Falls Road.

Standing in the cold drifty train terminal with Jayson we recognised a few faces from YouTube arriving for this years gathering. After 10am tubers started arriving from all directions. The group slowly gained strength as more arrived.

Ardmore airport in south Auckland is one of New Zealand busiest. The airport is well known by the locals for its war bird population and flight training.
