The boy racers are moving.
Calm has fallen across the eastern suburbs. Well at least it has in our bustling little avenue. On my walk this morning I noticed the three homes in the street where they lived are now up for sale. Outside one was a group of guys loading their over sized truck.
“When the landlord put the house on the market we decided to gap it. I’m heading to Christchurch for work” said one of the guys when I commented about the moving truck.
I didn’t know them very well as normally when I walk past its dark. There normally out on the road with their bonnets up with beers in their hands. I’m sure things will be quiet for a while.
The homes are each on the market for just over $480,000 way over the amount any average family could afford these days without two working parents.
I wish them good luck.
