A demo showing the sand liquefaction.

This afternoon I was watching my twitter feed and came across a video demonstration by ArgentumNZ in Christchurch who’d been digging up the silt bought to the surface by the process of liquefaction in his area.
You can see how he starts out with a sold block that has been shovelled into. As he pushes the wheel barrow over the cobble stones in his driveway, the silt quickly starts converting the solid block into a liquid.
This is a pretty awesome example. Have a watch.
