2011 is going to be a good year!

If you blinked you would have noticed 2010 shoot past faster than you can say “woosh” but don’t disappear because I have a gut feeling that 2011 will be better for everyone.
It’s good to remember the years past. Last year presented New Zealanders with a few challengers, the 7.1 earthquake in Christchurch and the Pike River mine disaster to name a just a few. We saw the rise of GST from 12.5% to 15% a huge jump in comparison and the lowering of income tax (not that anyone really noticed).
Out of all the negativity there came some positives that gave most of us a small glimpse of what is at the end of the tunnel and we made it. 2011 has some noticeably large events happening that will have the world looking at our little country down here in the Pacific. The world cup is coming to a town near you, along with tourists who’ll be here to explore the country and most importantly inject money into the economy.
The filming of the movie “The Hobbit” will start again wile shrouded in government conspiracy will showcase New Zealand and hopefully send a few more tourists our way and perhaps some more movies.
Regulars to my site might have given up on me by now as my last post was recorded January a year ago. In that post I talked about my goals for the year and I’m happy to say that I completed almost all of them. So eventually I’ll make a list for this year and tell you what I completed and what should roll over to this year.
You might be wondering why I’ve started writing again. Well I enjoy it. Even know I’ve been known to spell almost everything wrong or put the wrong words in place I’m learning. My recent inspiration has come from a young man who’s started talking about the New Zealand YouTube community. Ryan so far has been doing an exceptional job and hopefully I can send a few people his way and help him promote his cause.
I look forward to seeing you again later this year.
