I don’t like the scales.

9 January 2010 17 views No Comment

Today, wile only nine days into the year, I felt like it was time to start my health kick in order to reduce my weight and increase my fitness.  Most of you will probably all ready know that one of this years New Years resolutions was to get myself fit again.  It was number two on my list so quite high up on the personal importance list.

After my shower (I’ll spear you the graphic details) I was disgusted with myself after looking into the steamy mirror.  Clearly the food that was consumed over the Christmas period had caught up with my waistline.

In horror I pulled the scales out form under the sink and watched it zero. Sixty, seventy, eighty, eighty one, eighty one point three, eighty two point four.

When the numbers stopped and started flashing at me I looked back up into the mirror and jiggled my belly a little.

According to my BMI (Body Mass Index) chart a healthy weight for my height is between 74-78Kgs so being 82.4Kgs I had just over 5Kgs to loose to put me back into the “safe” zone.

So where do I start? What do I stop eating? How much exercise should I be doing?

These are all questions I’ll be able to answer on my journey into “The health kick 2010″.
