Memorial to lost Passengers of Southern Air.

In the remotest of remote places in New Zealand you find out the most interesting information like this. On the 9th of August 1998 an aircraft from the Southern Air fleet had to ditch 1.75kms from the coast. Some of the passengers never made it.

I stood here at this very place just looking out at the water thinking about what they would have gone though. Being a pilot myself it was an emotional moment. You can almost hear their voices in the wind.
