I’m here in Wanaka.

Wanaka LakefrontWell I made it to Wanaka yesterday after a delayed and slightly bumpy flight due to the blustery Nor’ west winds. We touched down just at around ten past twelve (ETA was 11:40).

It started to rain as we pulled up to the terminal and continued to rain through most of the night.  This morning however we awoke to a fresh dumping of snow on the surrounding mountains. This made for a chilly start but its shaping up as a cracker day here in the heart of New Zealand’s Southern Lakes district.

Perfect for a stroll along the lakefront. Just don’t forget the wooly hat!
