There be snow on them mountains!

On my quest to find snow the mountains taunted me with breathtaking scenery. It was almost like they were saying … ha ha you’re not going to get me!
So enough about the snow and more about Waiau! This small town is exactly that … small. Here you’ll find a hotel, greave yard, church and a superette.

Waiau’s claim to fame – you could catch the train to there, but nobody wanted to so they closed the line and now you can only go as far as Weka Pass.
