Vodafone’s HTC launch party rocked!
Posted on July 4, 2009 by Philip Newman
After nervously creeping down the path brightly lit by awesome read lights we entered the bowls of the underworld lured in by artificial smoke choking the air.
Together with Shelly, Liz and her brother we crowed around a small podium and tinkered with Vodafone’s new toy.
The Vodafone branded HTC didn’t impress me as much as I thought. First impressions rendered me speechless when I couldn’t find a place to punch in my webs address. I had to find it in Google’s search before it would load.
This probably makes me sound like a complete n00b but go figure it wasn’t at the top of the browser window that opened. I would imagine with a little time and persistence some of the settings could be changed to make me happy but really that was the only thing that annoyed me about the phone.
It didn’t take long for the phone to take a back step to the celebrities who were piling in the door. If my dentist was there he would have been cringing as my friends and I made quick work of the candyfloss.
The last party with this many celebrities was back when Telethon was a big thing. I got to hang out with the What Now crew. I really enjoyed getting the opportunity to attend so a big thanks goes out to Tess @ Vodafone for the invite.

Hey! I saw you at that party with your friends. I didn’t know you had a website I would have introduced myself to to you.
Interesting photos mate. You seem to know the right people and that’s weird in it’s self!
Looks like you had one awesome night! Thanks for posting the pictures. Did they give you a free phone?
