I’m guessing that you’ve clicked on this page because you want to know more about me.  Not sure why but obviously you’re curious enough to send a signal to your brain to click on the link that bought you here.

Most people would describe me as “different”.  My friends seem to think I’m crazy in some kind of weird entertaining way they just can’t define.

However you describe me I’m exactly that …me.  I’m a combo of random thoughts kinky stories and have so many ants in my pants I find it hard to keep still.  This is one of the reasons I started travelling so much.

My site has developed over the years as I’ve tried writing my own software.  I finally decided in 2009 that instead of wasting hours and hours looking though hundreds of lines of PHP code I’d settle with something more industry standard.

Wordpress and all the funky little applications I’ve created have given me the ability to quickly update my website throughout the day using email, mobile phones and my Netbook.

Yes Yes, I know you’ve probably noticed that I’ve not posted in a while so the name “Newman Daily” is somewhat redundant.  Feel free to send me a barrage of email’s from my contact page to remind me you’re waiting for something to read!

After written blogs came my video blogs that are now on YouTube!

Over the years I’ve used writing as a way to turn my brain off at night. The over thinking things is something I’m well known for so it was suggested I start putting pen to paper and writing everything down.  I went up in the world the day I scored an awesome laptop computer from a friend of mine.  No longer were my thoughts filling books and wasting ink but now they could be locked away behind a password.

Blogs were getting slightly more popular and it seemed like everyone had one.  World meet Philip, Philip meet world … I registered “Newman.net.nz” and like some kind of white magic I had an instant blog! Just like everyone else I was complaining about everything but it wasn’t until 2003 that my blog really started to help me out.

I started taking photos and posting them with my blog and at that moment as the cat hair clogged up the fan on my laptop causing it to over heat, I sold my first block of advertising.  This thrust me into the world of professional blogging and soon became my main income for a while as I took a break from the rest of the world.  I started travelling and writing about everything.  I danced around the country from bus stop to bus stop until I ran out of money and with a thud much like phonebooks hitting the ground I found my self back behind a desk.

Yeah so plan “A” didn’t work out like it was supposed to but right now I’m working on plan “E”.
